After working extensively on major Australian television dramas, David was accepted into Australia’s prestigious national film school, the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) in Sydney, where he received a Masters degree in Production Design.
David has worked through the studios on features including, Jerry Bruckheimer’s Kangaroo Jack, Dynasty and The Mystery of Natalie Wood.
For the past five years he has developed professional relationships in the Asia region and has won his clients and himself numerous awards—his striking visual style has been recognised not only in Asia but worldwide.
David’s disciplined approach and enthusiasm drive his work and have earned him the reputation as someone who can be trusted to bring a unique vision to every project. Through this he has become highly sought after within the Asia region. Clients include Easternlight Films, Silk Road Pictures, Canon, LG, Samsung, Hyundai, and Ssang Yong.
David’s most recent film, Dance of the Dragon—set in South Korea and Singapore—is a love story starring Jason Scott Lee, Fann Wong and Jang Hyuk and is currently screening at film festivals around the world. It has been acclaimed for its strong visual style and won him an award for Best Production Design at the 2008 West Hollywood International Film Festival.
David is rapidly becoming recognised as a unique designer with a strong approach to style, story and visual direction.
